BODY BELIEVED TO BE BROTHER-IN-LAW OF QB CUTLER FOUND

-

salt lake city» A body believed to be that of NFL quarterback Jay Cutler’s brother-in-law was discovered Thursday in a steep and rocky area in an isolated part of southern Utah, nearly two weeks after his car was found abandoned nearby, authorities said Thursday.

The remains that investigators think are Michael Cavallari — the brother of reality TV personality Kristin Cavallari — were found Thursday morning, Grand County Sheriff Steven White said.

The body was sent to the Utah Medical Examiner to confirm the identity and determine the cause of death, a process that could take as long as two months, White said.

He was found near the bottom of a steep hillside filled with boulders, about 3 miles northwest of where his car was discovered on the morning of Nov. 27, White said.

There were no bullet holes or stab wounds or other signs of foul play. It’s now up to the medical examiner to determine how he died, with toxicology reports certain to play a factor, White said.

No daily fantasy ads in CFP games.

College Football Playoff Executive Director Bill Hancock said ESPN has agreed to not use advertisements for daily fantasy sports websites during broadcasts of the biggest postseason games.

Hancock said College Football Playoff officials discussed the matter with ESPN executives and both sides determined that given uncertainties about daily fantasy sports sites such as DraftKings and FanDuel, it “would be best to allocate the available spots to others.”

The NCAA and FBS conferences asked DraftKings and FanDuel to stop offering college versions of their games because they consider them gambling. Same states, including New York, are investigating whether the daily fantasy sites violate the law.

DraftKings and FanDuel voiced support Thursday for Massachusetts’ approach to regulating their controversial industry.

Zakary Cutler, director of product management for Boston’s DraftKings, said regulations proposed by the state’s attorney general appear “reasonable” and “pretty thorough.”
