PARADIS HAULS IN BONUS FOR PLAYING TIME

-

Broncos center Matt Paradis received good news from his agent Monday: He earned a bonus worth nearly 90 percent of his salary.

Paradis, the only Denver player to play every offensive snap in 2015, received $ 391,647.56 as a performancebased bonus from the NFL.

The larger bonuses are given to players who have the smallest salaries and play the most. Paradis played all 1,108 offensive snaps for the league minimum of $ 435,000 last season, per Spotrac.

Among others who received playing- time bonuses were outside linebacker Shaquil Barrett ($ 269,589.77), inside linebackers Brandon Marshall ($ 249,434.22) and Todd Davis ($ 118,922.18), offensive linemen Michael Schofield ($ 207,367.77) and Max Garcia ($ 173,461.83) and wide receiver Bennie Fowler ($ 174,473.32).

Clady update.

Veteran offensive tackle Ryan Clady and the Broncos continue to try to reach a contract resolution.

The Broncos have talked to Clady’s agent about revising his contract, which calls for a $ 9.5 million salary and carries a $ 10.1 million cap hit for 2016.

Clady signed a five- year, $ 52 million contract in 2013 but has played only one full season ( 2014) since then because of injuries.

The Broncos are expected to seek a deep pay cut, possibly even half Clady’s salary.

If an agreement can’t be reached, Clady might be released.

Fear the Wolfe.

Broncos safety T. J. Ward was a guest Monday on the ESPN program “Highly Questionable” and was asked which of his teammates are the most feared.

Defensive end Derek Wolfe was on Ward’s list.

“Wolfe, he says some things that are highly questionable,” Ward said. “He doesn’t really say too much. His presence, he’s a dog on the field and he really doesn’t take any mess from anyone. ... I heard him hit somebody with the Mike Tyson. He told someone he was going to eat their kids. … That was an opposing player. That was, um, Tom Brady. I think he told Tom Brady that.”
