WARRIORS WIN, BUT CURRY HURTS KNEE

houston» Klay Thompson scored 23 points and the Warriors set an NBA playoff record with 21 3-pointers, overcoming another injury to Stephen Curry to blast the Rockets 121-94 on Sunday for a 3-1 lead in their series.

Golden State will host Game 5 on Wednesday.

Curry returned after missing two games because of a sprained right ankle, but he didn’t play in the second half Sunday after suffering a sprained right knee just before halftime.

Golden State was just fine without Curry, thanks to its 3-point shooting that ignited a 41-point third quarter.

“When you hit the shots we’re hitting, things are going to go your way,” said the Warriors’ Draymond Green, who contribute­d 18 points.

Dwight Howard led Houston with 19 points and 15 rebounds. James Harden finished with 18 points, 10 assists and seven steals.

After his two-game layoff, Curry struggled to find his rhythm. The NBA’s reigning MVP made only 2-of-9 shots and committed five turnovers before he was injured. He finished with just six points, and will have an MRI on his right knee Monday.

Cavaliers 100, Pistons 98

B auburn hills, mich.» Cleveland advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals with a four-game sweep of Detroit. LeBron James helped propel the Cavaliers with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Kyrie Irving scored 31 points.
