- By Emilie Rusch

The Taxi mixed-use development off Brighton Boulevard is adding a 140,000-square-foot office building to house a single tenant.

Boa Technology, a Denver-based maker of purpose-built closure and adjustment systems used in shoes, athletic gear and other applications, has called the Taxi campus home since 2012, growing from 55 to 143 employees during its time in one of Taxi’s multiple-tenant office buildings.

Designed by Dynia Architects, Boa’s new building at 3575 Ringsby Court will feature one of the city’s largest private green roofs, a twostory atrium, outdoor meeting spaces, a solar array and a 100-bike storage facility.

A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Thursday.

“Boa shares in our values of collaboration, community and humanity as the core of a successful and growing entrepreneurial business,” developer Kyle Zeppelin said in a statement. “They are an integral part of the culture at Taxi, and by commissioning a building that harnesses these principles to specifically meet their needs, we’re ensuring a thriving partnership for many more years to come — with a homegrown, Denver success story that we’ve watched take form under our roof at Taxi.”

The building, nicknamed Flight, will be one of the largest singletenant office spaces in the River North Art District. The Boa Fit Lab, where the company works with its brand partners to develop and test new products, is among the uses moving into the new space. Boa’s closure systems are currently used in a variety of applications, including snow sports, cycling, safety and medical products.

“Our mission at Boa is to manufacture a technology that speaks to the fundamental needs of its users,” Boa CEO Mark Soderberg said in a statement. “In order to continuously innovate, our team requires an inspiring space where ideas thrive, and Zeppelin truly gets that.”
