1-2 teams are eager to get back to .500

A few teams off to a surprising 1-2 start — Indianapolis, Arizona and Carolina — face an increased sense of urgency to get back to .500 this week. Minnesota, Kansas City, Atlanta and Baltimore host games that could be a bit of a playoff preview. The first

a.m., KCNC-4. Do the Jaguars play in London every year? Both teams need this game to avoid falling into an even bigger hole.

Tennessee at Houston, 11 a.m. It appears Texans defensive end J.J. Watt will be out for the foreseeable future, leaving the AFC South wide open for all four teams.

Cleveland at Washington, 11 a.m. Will Cleveland win a game this year? Probably, but not many. Redskins QB Kirk Cousins hasn’t been impressive so far this season. Seattle at New York Jets, 11 a.m., KDVR-31. With Russell Wilson hobbled and the Seahawks making a cross-country trip, this seems like a good chance for the Jets to catch a win.

Buffalo at New England, 11 a.m. Bills coach Rex Ryan hasn’t hidden his desire to beat New England, but the Patriots are one win away from going 4-0 without Tom Brady.

Carolina at Atlanta, 11 a.m. The Falcons have the NFL’s top offense and Carolina is trying to avoid a 1-3 hole after a tough early slate.

Oakland at Baltimore, 11 a.m. The undefeated Ravens are a bit of a surprise, but a healthy Joe Flacco and rejuvenated defense have led the charge.

Detroit at Chicago, 11 a.m. This might be the Bears’ best chance to get their first win, but with Jay Cutler still wounded even a home win over Detroit might be tough to pull off.

L.A. Rams at Arizona, 2:25 p.m. The Rams have erased the memory of their embarrassing opening loss to the 49ers, while the Cardinals are trying to erase an embarrassing first month.

New Orleans at San Diego, 2:25 p.m. Potential Hall of Fame quarterbacks Drew Brees and Philip Rivers prepare for what is almost certain to be a shootout. Dallas at San Francisco, 2:25 p.m., KDVR-31. Dak Prescott has held his own over the first few weeks, but injuries to key players are starting to creep up for Dallas. Kansas City at Pittsburgh, 6:30 p.m., KUSA-9. The return of Le’Veon Bell should be a big boost to the Steelers, who were beat down in Philadelphia last Sunday.
