DENVER CRUISES TO ITS FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN

Daniel Amigo scored 19 points and pulled down eight rebounds Monday night, leading the University of Denver to a 74-52 rout of Arkansas-Pine Bluff that stretched the Pioneers’ winning streak to four games.

Jeremy Hollimon of Troy was shooting the lights out on a 7-0 run and the Trojans had tied Wyoming at 13 when the lights went out in the Arena-Auditorium, prompting a game delay. … Luke Kennard scored 24 points and No. 5 Duke beat Tennessee State 65-55. Freshman forward Jayson Tatum added 14 points and Grayson Allen finished with 12 for the Blue Devils, who plodded through 30 mostly sluggish minutes before pulling away from a pesky Tigers team that threatened to spoil the college debut of touted Duke freshman Harry Giles. Tennessee State led 36-34 on Wayne Martin’s jumper with 15 minutes left. Duke countered with a 25-3 run highlighte­d by five 3-pointers — including two by Kennard on consecutiv­e possession­s after he was left completely unguarded — to take a 59-39 lead. … Caleb Swanigan had 21 points and 21 rebounds, Isaac Haas scored 18 points and No. 15 Purdue beat Western Illinois 82-50. … Terrence Mann scored 19 points and Xavier Rathan-Mayes added 15, leading No. 21 Florida State past Samford 76-68. … V.J. las vegas» Madison Montgomery scored 19 points as Long Beach State handed No. 21 South Florida its first loss of the season, 73-68.

MONDAY’S HIGHLIGHT

Katie Lou Samuelson scored eight of her 26 points during a key third-quarter run, and No. 1 UConn beat No. 12 Ohio State 82-63 for the Huskies’ 85th consecutiv­e victory. Napheesa Collier had 27 points and 11 rebounds for the Huskies, who are five games away from matching their NCAA-record 90-game winning streak set from 2008-10.
