Justin Faulk and Jordan Staal also scored for the Hurricanes. Staal scored his 15th career short-handed goal in the second period. … Sidney Crosby scored his NHL-leading 24th goal and the Penguins earned a 4-1 win over the Devils. Chad Ruhwedel got the first goal of his career for Pittsburgh. Eric Fehr and Patric Hornqvist also scored for the Penguins, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 22 saves to win for the first time in three starts. … Mikko Koivu, Nino Niederreit­er and Marco Scandella scored in a 5-minute span early in the second period, and the Wild beat the Rangers 7-4 for their franchise-record 10th straight win. Red Wings-Canes reschedule­d. The NHL said the Detroit-Carolina game that was postponed earlier this week has been reschedule­d for March 27. The reschedule­d game means the teams will play on consecutiv­e nights in Raleigh. They were already scheduled to play each other the following night.
