BRAIN FREEZE

Grab a big straw and slurp away with this cool deal from 7-Eleven. On May 20, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., bring your own cup to the ubiquitous convenienc­e store and fill ’er up with your favorite Slurpee flavor for just $1.50. Before you start thinking about filling up a bucket, there are rules for your cup: It must fit through a 10-inch hole upright, be food-safe clean and watertight. Limit one cup per person. Turn off the TV. The NBC FanFest is stopping in Denver on May 23 and 24 at Civic Center park from 2 to 8 p.m. each day. The free two-day fan affair features interactiv­e activities showcasing several of the network’s most popular series, including “American Ninja Warrior,” “America’s Got Talent,” “The Voice,” “Little Big Shots,” “Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge” and the upcoming “World of Dance.” Fans will enjoy lots of photo opportunit­ies, giveaways, food trucks, merchandis­e sales and more. (Fun fact: The event will be set up adjacent to the “American Ninja Warrior” course in Denver as the show tapes episodes for the upcoming season.) In addition, attendees can engage in a variety of physical activities, from a 120-foot inflatable course to a 12-foot cargo net climb. Philatelis­ts of all ages are placing a stamp of approval on Denver. Hundreds of stamp collectors will be at the Rocky Mountain Stamp Show from May 26 to 28 at The Crown Plaza Hotel DIA. Even though you just stick them on an envelope without much thought, stamps are historical snapshots of the past and present. In addition to numerous seminars about the history of stamps, more than 30 dealers will showcase their wares. Attendees can also learn more about their own stamp collection­s one-on-one from local experts for free. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. the first two days and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the final day.
