Suspect shoots woman, infant before killing self.

SPRINGS» A Colorado COLORADO Springs man fired two gunshots into a bed, striking a 27-year-old woman in the arm and a 1-year-old child in the hand before committing suicide early Wednesday.

The woman and child are expected to fully recover, according to a news release by the Colorado Springs Police Department. The suspect’s name has not been released by the coroner’s office.

The suspect was only an acquaintance of the woman, said Lt. Howard Black, Colorado Springs police spokesman.
