Hanging out with Frog and Toad

THROUGH DEC. 29. When I think back to my favorite books as a child, only a few stand out. “Frog and Toad Are Friends” is one of them. The children’s theater production of “A Year With Frog and Toad” is back on stage at the Arvada Center (6901 Wadsworth Blvd. in Arvada), adapted from the books series by Arnold Lobel. The show follows the woodland adventures of a worrywart toad and perky frog as the two best friends celebrate the differences that make them special. The three productionTony Awardswas nominatedin 2003 — for including Best Musical. Performances are Monday-Friday at 10 a.m. and noon, with some Saturday shows at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tickets: $9-$13.
