Disappointed in Cub Scouts for kicking out inquisitive 11-year-old

- Re: Nicolette Clark,

“Cub Scout booted after questioning state senator,” Oct. 19 news story.

I am writing to express my anger and disappointment with the Cub Scout leader in Broomfield who kicked a boy out of his den simply because the den leader didn’t like the question this boy posed to state Rep. Vicki Marble. Ms. Marble was asked to speak to the Scouts, and the boy respectfully asked her pointed questions about previous remarks she had made. She denied making those comments. She lied, as it was proven she had made those disparaging remarks. So the boy is kicked out for asking? What this teaches our young people is that if you are an adult in charge, you get to eliminate the kids who ask the tough questions. Shame on that Scout leader! I hope other parents in that Scout den express their disappointment in his or her tactics. I would pull my child out of that group and away from the influence of that poor excuse for a “leader.”
