The Cougars saw their perfect season come to an end with a 37-3 conference loss at California. The Cougars remain undefeated at home this fall. Story lines

Get after the quarterback. Washington State is tied for the most sacks allowed nationally this season with 32 through seven games. Colorado’s defense has only 10 sacks, but the Buffaloes also have 24 quarterback hurries. Now, it’s a matter of taking down the quarterback when given the opportunity.

Notable suspension. WSU will be without star wide receiver Tavares Martin Jr., whose seven touchdown catches are tied for third-most nationally, after it was announced that he has been suspended for an unspecified violation of team rules. The Cougars have six other players with at least 20 receptions this season, but filling Martin’s shoes will be difficult. Lindsay watch. CU’s senior tailback is nearing more milestones in the gold and black. With just 5 more yards rushing, Phillip Lindsay will eclipse 1,000 on the season for a second consecutive year. Should he tack on 131 more yards receiving over the final five games, he also will reach 1,000 career yards receiving. Few players in Buffaloes history have been more versatile than Lindsay.
