Freeland, who has been Colorado’s best and most consistent starter, will be making his first career appearance vs. the Rangers. The Denver native has recorded five consecutive quality starts on the road, going 3-2 with 3.21 ERA. Over his last nine starts overall, Freeland is 6-3 with a 2.93 ERA, while striking out 53 and walking only 17. Minor is coming off a no-decision vs. the Astros when he allowed three earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings. Minor suffered a rough first inning, allowing two earned runs on a walk and two hits, but settled down after that. Minor is 3-2 with a 5.73 ERA in eight games (six starts) vs. the Rockies.
