The race for the GOP gubernatorial bid

Walker Stapleton’s website states that he has committed himself to working on behalf of every Coloradan. Both Stapleton and Victor Mitchell have also stated that they support Donald Trump and his policies (nothing about his constant lying).

As a result of Trump’s tariff on solar panels, renewable energy companies have now cancelled or frozen more than $2.5 billion in investments alone with thousands of jobs lost. This includes Cypress Creek Renewables who are now freezing or cancelling $1.5 billion in projects, mostly in the Carolinas, Texas, and Colorado. It covers 150 projects that could have employed 3,000 people.

It appears that both Stapleton and Mitchell stating with no apparent exceptions that they are with Trump and his policies no matter what, is indeed good for Donald Trump. But not so good for the citizens of Colorado or other states that may have lost forever a good job at Cypress Creek Renewables or elsewhere. Should so-called good conservatives be taking away jobs and harming families just to support and bow down to Trump? I think not.

What a disappointment. At the Republican candidates for Colorado governor “debate” each was asked if they disagreed with any of Trump’s policies or actions. They said no; agreeing with the tax cuts for the rich that will increase the federal debt by trillions of dollars; agreeing with the budget that cuts funds for the Affordable Care Act and other programs that help the poor and average working American families; agreeing with the callous immigration policy that separates children from their parents and warehouses those children; and agreeing with the president’s donothing approach to reasonable and constitutional gun safety actions. Worst of all, they all agree with the president’s policy of accelerating the already started climate change/global warming disastrous effects in favor of the fossil fuel industry that pays them big money.
