Roope Hintz and Joel L’Esperance scored for Dallas in a span of 2:22 early in the second period, and the Stars hung on for a 4-1 win over the Minnesota Wild after goalie Ben Bishop was hurt. Anton Khudobin stopped 14 of 15 shots he faced in relief of Bishop, who made seven saves. Bishop establishe­d a franchise record by stretching his scoreless streak to 240:53 before exiting with a lower-body injury.

Capitals 5, Flyers 2.

» Brett Connolly PHILADELPH­IA had two goals and an assist to help the Washington Capitals beat the Philadelph­ia Flyers 5-2. Evgeny Kuznetsov added a goal and an assist, and Lars Eller and Tom Wilson also scored.

Lightning 5, Red Wings 4.

Steven Stamkos tied Vincent Lecavalier for Tampa Bay’s career lead in goals, Nikita Kucherov scored twice in the third period and the Lightning rallied from a three-goal deficit to beat the Detroit Red Wings 5-4. The Red Wings led 3-0 in the second when Stamkos scored on the power play to start Tampa Bay’s comeback.

» Anders Nilsson ONTARIO stopped 34 shots for his second shutout of the season as the Ottawa Senators beat the St. Louis Blues 2-0 on Thursday night. Christian Wolanin and Chris Tierney scored to help Ottawa snap a three-game losing streak.

» Phil Kessel had a goal and N.Y, an assist, Sidney Crosby added two assists and the surging Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-0. Nick Bjugstad and Jake Guentzel each had a goal and an assist for Pittsburgh.

Jets 4, Bruins 3.

Mark Scheifele had a goal and two assists to lead the Winnipeg Jets to a 4-3 win over Boston, handing the Bruins their third straight loss. .

Islanders 2, Canadiens 1.
