The Denver Post

Electric vs. fossil fuel vehicles

- Re: Douglas E. Stackhouse, Re: Valerie Agnew, Richard Postma,

The guest commentary by Brian Aucone and Graeme Patterson, both of the Denver Zoo, referenced the recent U.N. report warning of the imminent extinction of up to 1 million plant and animal species. For decades now, we have experienced spotty reminders through various media on the negative effects of climate change. But this commentary really drilled the message home, laying out a simple plan relevant to the individual, without which we are all doomed. However, as with virtually all similar warnings I have heard, one key cause went unmentioned: overpopulation. Of all plant and animal species on the planet, humans are the only one that consciously breeds in an unsustainable fashion. Why is no one talking about this? chase a firearm under the current background check process and timeline. Disgracefully, Democrats defeated this amendment, making women even more vulnerable to acts of violence. Colorado women deserve the right to have the ability to defend themselves whenever they may be threatened.

The front-page article by John Aguilar (Electric costs more than diesel) shows that someone at The Denver Post has finally figured out that hydrocarbon fuel is the least expensive as well as most convenient source of transportation energy! Now if you can figure out that natural gas is best suited for heating homes and buildings, and coal and nuclear energy are best suited for generating electricity, we can all be more efficient and make better use of our limited energy sources!
