ONE PERSON DIES IN CAR ROLLOVER IN WELD COUNTY

COUNTY» Six people, including WELD four children, were involved in a onecar rollover on westbound Interstate 76 in Weld County on Saturday morning.

An adult female, who suffered a severed arm, was killed in the crash, Colorado State Patrol spokesman Cpl. Ivan Alvarado said. The other adult was flown out to a nearby hospital, he said, while the extent of the children’s injuries remain unknown.

Westbound lanes of I-76 at mile marker 51 were closed briefly as authoritie­s conducted a medical evacuation, Alvarado said. The highway has since been reopened.

Yellowston­e National Park reports busy May. Yellowston­e National Park has recorded its third busiest visitation during the month of May as the park began opening up for the busy summer tourist season.

The National Park Service says the park recorded 434,385 visits last month. The total is 2.8 percent less than May 2018, which was the busiest May on record.

So far in 2019, Yellowston­e has counted more than 576,700 visits, which is up 1 percent from the same five-month period last year.

The park in Wyoming, Montana and Idaho typically sees its most visitors during the summer months.

One killed in crash in Aurora. One person died after two cars crashed Saturday morning at an intersecti­on in Aurora, police said.

At 11:10 a.m., police were called to the intersecti­on of South Chambers Road and East Smoky Hill Road. Police said an SUV had attempted to make a left turn on East Smoky Hill Road, just as a sedan, traveling north on South Chambers Road, turned toward East Smoky Hill. The two cars crashed in the intersecti­on.

Both people involved were transporte­d to the hospital, police said, where one of the drivers died.

The incident is Aurora’s 13th traffic-related death this year, police said.

Layoffs coming at Wyoming tribal casino. WYO.» Officials with

LANDER, the Eastern Shoshone Tribe say the Shoshone Rose Casino and Hotel in central Wyoming is making a number of changes, including employee layoffs, because of financial problems.

Tribal officials said the Lander casino will lay off 15 to 20 employees, end table games, discontinu­e shuttle buses, dissolve the banquet department and close the casino during the overnight hours Sunday through Thursday.
