BOY, 14, IS SERIOUSLY INJURED IN HIT-AND-RUN

Arvada police are asking for help in identifyin­g a suspect in a hit-and-run, auto-pedestrian collision over the weekend that seriously injured a 14-year-old boy, Arvada police said.

The boy’s injuries are not believed to be lifethreat­ening, Arvada police spokesman David Snelling said in a news release. The teen’s name has not been released.

Police are searching for the driver of a black, twodoor, Toyota sedan that has dark tinted windows.

The boy was crossing northbound Sheridan Boulevard at the intersecti­on of West 64th Avenue at 9:19 p.m. Saturday when the northbound car hit into the boy, the news release said.

Shooting leaves one person critically injured.

Denver police are looking for a suspect in a shooting that left one person in critical condition Sunday night, police said on Twitter.

The victim, who has not bee identified, is in stable condition, police said.

The shooting happened near East Quincy Avenue and Tamarac Drive, according to the tweet.

“This is an isolated incident with no threat to the public,” police wrote in a tweet.

Man shot at park and ride, who later died at hospital, is identified.

A man who was killed in a shooting at an RTD park and ride has been identified.

George Spencer, 26, was pronounced dead on Thursday at Denver Health Medical Center, according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner. Spencer died of a gunshot wound and the manner of death is a homicide.

Spencer was shot at a park and ride at East 42nd Avenue and Garfield Street.

On Friday, investigat­ors released surveillan­ce photos of two men who are being sought for questionin­g in the case. Anyone with informatio­n on the shooting, or who recognizes either man in the photos, is asked to call police at 720-913-7867 (STOP).

Body found on Longs Peak identified as New Jersey man.

The Boulder County coroner’s office officially identified the man found dead on Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park last month as 30-year-old New Jersey resident Ryan Albert.

It had been reported that officials believed that the body — discovered May 30 on a trail about 2,000 feet below the summit of the 14,259-foot peak — to be Albert’s. He was last seen alive in October.

He was found about 1,000 feet below a section of trail called the Ledges.

An examinatio­n of the body has been completed, Coroner Emma Hall stated in a news release, but his cause and manner of death are pending further investigat­ion.
