ROCK CLIMBER DIES NEAR BOULDER FALLS

Friday after falling near Boulder Falls, the sheriff’s office said.

When medical workers arrived at 6:25 p.m., the climber was unconsciou­s, the news release said. The climber was declared deceased at the scene after first aid failed. The name of the climber hasn’t been revealed, according to the news release.

This marks the latest climbingre­lated death in the region. On June 6, a Greenwood Village teenager died after falling while rappelling in Clear Creek Canyon. In May, a Boulder climber died after falling 100 feet in Eldorado Canyon State Park.
