Betrayal of allies

As a veteran of WWII and the Korean conflict, I’m trying to figure out how I feel about the reckless abandonment of our allies. Our United States of America, flawed in many ways, has always been the fighter for peace and defender of our allies. Now, this administration has allowed our enemies to surge. Now, our troops will probably have to fight the Islamic State again. How do I feel? Very sad and betrayed. Bruce Jacobsen, Longmont
