Shortly after President Donald Trump took office, many Democrats insisted there was proof of “Russian collusion” by him. Yet, after a two-year investigation costing millions of dollars, the Mueller report failed to provide Democrats with the “proof” they claimed was there.

President Trump is now under investigation by Democrats in the House of Representatives and will likely be impeached in the coming months. It is highly unlikely that the Senate will use the House impeachment to actually remove Trump from office so more time and money will have been wasted simply because some of our elected representatives do not like him and want him removed from office.

The impetus for the impeachment investigation was a phone conversation between Trump and the president of Ukraine. Sadly, I believe that most voters have not even read the actual transcript but instead believe what they see and hear on whatever TV or social media platform they use. Whether we like or dislike Trump, this is a historic event and we should not just listen to and believe the opinions of others.

Everyone should at least download and read the simple five-page transcript and decide for themselves whether or not they feel the conversation involved anything that justifies the time and money that will have been wasted on this entire process, let alone the impeachment and removal from office, of the president of the United States.
