B R shot an employee to death after a brawl at a suburban Denver bar has been sentenced to life in prison plus 100 years without parole.

Gary Wideman was sentenced Friday for the Aug. 11, 2018, death of 37-year-old Brenda Lee Martinez at the Extra Point Bar in Thornton.

Prosecutor­s say that after the brawl, the 38year-old Wideman retrieved his gun from his vehicle and fired two shots into the bar’s kitchen, killing Martinez and wounding three others.

He was convicted of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.

KANSAS CITY, sister and brother were sentenced Friday for roles in a marijuana distributi­on ring that involved mailing pot from Colorado to Missouri.

Natalie McNeil, 34, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Tanner McNeil, 30, of Denver, were in federal court in Missouri.

Natalie McNeil was sentenced to four years and three months without parole and ordered to forfeit $121,000 to the government. Tanner McNeil was sentenced to 2½ years and ordered to forfeit just over $1 million.

They are among five Missouri residents and two Colorado residents who have pleaded guilty, prosecutor­s said.

Tanner McNeil and Benjamin Parker, 29, of Denver, shipped the marijuana to co-conspirato­rs in Missouri in sealed plastic protein containers, prosecutor­s said. Shipments contained 4 to 6 pounds. A total of 121 packages were shipped.

Natalie McNeil deposited cash in bank accounts of Tanner McNeil and Parker in Missouri. The men withdrew the money from Colorado banks.

A total of $1.7 million was deposited in Missouri. Tanner McNeil and Parker withdrew about $1.3 million in Colorado.
