Patient with travel history to Italy being tested for coronaviru­s.

SUMMIT COUNTY» A patient at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center who has traveled to Italy is being tested for coronaviru­s.

The medical center and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environmen­t are investigat­ing the patient’s “respirator­y illness” as a “possible case of novel coronaviru­s,” according to a statement from Centura Health-St. Anthony Summit Medical Center.

Test results from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be available in about 24 hours, according to the statement released Wednesday night.

The patient has been isolated. “The health risk to the general public is considered low,” the news release said.
