Regis University will host the fourth annual Women and Leadership Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at its Northwest Denver Campus.

Registration is open until Monday, March 9, for Regis students, faculty and staff and members of the community. The cost is $10 for students, faculty and staff and $25 for community members. For more information and to register, visit regis.edu/womensconference.

This year’s conference takes a look at women’s careers. Women’s careers tend to take different shapes than the traditional linear, upper-movement trajectory. Presenters include Flo Lattery, a business consultant in the strategy, finance and legal fields; Erin Foley, a managing principal engineer at Seagate Technology in Denver; and Ali Clerkin, a marketing specialist who helps companies build their digital brands.

“We are excited to have three wonderful women at different stages in their careers sharing with us about the insights, challenges and opportunities they have experienced in their careers,” said Maria Alejandra Quijada, an associate professor in the Anderson College of Business and the conference organizer.

Conference attendees also will look at emerging workplace changes.

“We will learn about what research has to say about the overall trends we see in women’s careers,” Quijada said. “We hope women will leave with their own set of action steps that will empower them to make a difference and achieve their goals.”

The end of the day is set aside for networking.

“We will set out some time for the participants to interact and learn about their careers from each other,” Quijada said.

At least 75 attendees are expected, and space fills fast. Breakfast and lunch are included.

This event will be held in Room 315 at Claver Hall on Regis’ Northwest Denver Campus, 3333 Regis Blvd.

Free weekend parking will be available in lower Lot 4, accessible from Lowell Boulevard near West 52nd Avenue.

The conference is sponsored by the Women’s and Gender Studies Program and the WELL (Workforce, Ethics and Lifelong Learning) Center at the Anderson College of Business.

The Women and Leadership Conference aligns with Regis University’s mission to change and improve society. Helping community members build their professional skills leads to individuals making positive impacts in their own lives and in society.
