At a moment when families are looking hard for affordable single-family home prices, to cash in on the startlingly low interest rates available now, a few miles can make a big difference in the price of getting more space.

“By looking just outside the city of Denver, buyers can find prices that will make the difference between having to continue to rent, and cashing in on some of the lowest mortgage rates any of us are ever likely to see,” says Randy Carpenter, KB Home

Colorado Division President— with single-family homes priced from as low as $376,000 in a new master plan near DIA.

That’s a real price that will deliver a single-family ranch with 2-car attached garage and a private backyard at Painted Prairie, north of E. 56th Avenue on Picadilly Road in Aurora.

That’s one of three ranch designs KB Home offers in the neighborhood; one of eight unique plans that include numbers of large-family two-stories, some offering an added bedroom on the main floor.

“Families we’re talking with now are all after more space, after experiencing the stay-at-home order,” adds Carpenter.

Many of them, he adds, specifically want a home office, with a door that can give them working privacy from family areas— something that KB Home can provide with practically all eight designs.

As an example of how much space you can find, KB Home can deliver a 4-bedroom design with 2,583 sq. feet of finished space that’s on track for October move-in, at $525,000. That price includes a loft homework/play area, an office space, and an unfinished basement.

Park with kid attractions

“We’re getting buyers that are comparing prices like that to what new areas cost close to the urban core,” says Carpenter. KB Home offers the very lowest prices for single-family homes in Painted Prairie; and is the only singlefamily builder there with front-load garages rather than alley-load, meaning a much bigger and more private backyard. KB Home shows finished basements in the models that can add even more value.

When you visit, be sure to see Painted Prairie’s 22-acre park— already with climbing and sliding attractions by Beanstalk Builders that your kids will love; and ask about a planned hub with shopping, dining and unique retail. Painted Prairie is around 15 minutes from the Anschutz campus; closer still to DIA.

KB Home shows you its energy performance features, certified and water by a third-party conserving inspector to meet or beat Energy Star and EPA’s WaterSense standards. Buyers personalize homes at the KB Home Design Studio giving them choices to create a home within their budget.
