- — Kieran Nicholson, The Denver Post

A renewed search for a missing Chaffee County woman will happen Thursday, and the sheriff’s office will support her brother, who is leading the effort.

Andrew Moorman of Indiana has raised more than $ 12,000 on GoFundMe from 280 donors to fund Thursday’s search.

Suzanne Morphew was reported missing May 10 from her home near Maysville, according to the sheriff’s office. Local authorities, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the FBI are investigating the 49- year- old woman’s disappearance.

“I’ve got to find my little sister, and I have to bring closure to my family. We were quiet for a while because the investigators asked that of us, but it’s time now to rally the troops and go west and find her,” Moorman said when he announced the search in Indiana during a candlelight vigil, according to The Associated Press.

Moorman’s organized effort is expected to last about five days, and hundreds of volunteers from various towns and states will join the effort, according to the sheriff’s office.

Morphew’s family is offering a $ 200,000 reward for information that leads to her safe return.
