Larimer County authoritie­s on Saturday located the 12- year- old boy who had been missing since Tuesday evening.

“Hunter Denny has been located and he is safe,” the sheriff’s office said in Facebook post. Further details were not released.

Denny left his home in northern Larimer County, close to the Wyoming state line, on Tuesday after a disagreeme­nt with his family, the sheriff’s office previously said.

The disappeara­nce prompted a massive search, including drones, dogs and a helicopter.

Elderly adults found dead on trail in Colorado Springs.

Two elderly adults who had been reported missing were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds early Saturday off a trail in Colorado Springs.

At 8: 30 p. m. Friday, police received a call about two missing elderly adults who were last known to be hiking near the Edmundson Trailhead, 306 E. Woodmen Road, police said. Four hours later, search teams found the two dead from gunshot wounds near Fountain Creek, police said. Violent crime and homicide detectives have taken over the investigat­ion.

Size of Mullen fire surpasses that of Cameron Peak blaze.

Much of the heavy smoke seen over much of northern Colorado on Friday came from the Mullen fire burning from Wyoming south into Colorado.

That fire reached 128,738 acres as of 8 p. m. Friday and is 6% contained, according to its incident management webpage.

The Cameron Peak fire, burning northwest of Loveland, is at 125,271 acres and is 34% contained.

John Norton- Jensen, operations trainee for Pacific Northwest Incident Management Team 6, said the Williams Fork fire, a 13,554- acre wildfire west of Denver near Gypsum, also was affecting air quality in the state.
