FORT COLLINS » David Roddy scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Colorado State finally opened its season by beating Division II Colorado State- Pueblo 89- 77.

Roddy made 11 of 13 free throws. Isaiah Stevens had 18 points and six assists for Colorado State. Adam Thistlewoo­d added 16 points.

COLUMBIA, MO. » Missouri held off a late charge and overcame 36 points from Fighting Illini star Ayo Dosunmu for a victory. Dru Smith had 17 points, Javon Pickett had 14 points and five rebounds and the Tigers held on in the annual “Braggin’ Rights” rivalry game.

KNOXVILLE, TENN. » John Fulkerson had 15 points and 12 rebounds, helping Tennessee pull away late in the second half to beat Cincinnati.

A 3- pointer by David DeJulius put Cincinnati ahead 53- 51 with 6: 14 left. The 6- foot- 9 Fulkerson came back with four foul shots, giving the Vols

Cameron Gooden had 23 points as Dixie State narrowly defeated Denver. Jase Townsend had 21 points and nine rebounds for the Pioneers ( 1- 3). Robert Jones added 13 points and Sam Hines Jr. had 11 points and seven rebounds.

WYOMING 93, UtAH VALLEY 88.

OREM, UTAH » Hunter Maldonado had 30 points as Wyoming edged past Utah Valley. Drake Jeffries had 21 points for Wyoming ( 5- 1), which earned its fourth consecutiv­e victory. Marcus Williams added 12 points.
