Christina Dawkins, Colorado Time Dealer for 2021, was one of four finalists for the Time national dealer award, announced earlier this month.

Rick DeSilva Jr., owner of Liberty Subaru in Emerson, N.J., was named national Time dealer winner by leaders from Time and Ally Financial at the 104th National Automotive Dealers Association Show held virtually Feb. 9-11.

The three finalists, in addition to Dawkins, were Christina Alicandro-Karolt of Marty’s GMC Buick at Kingston, Mass.; Timothy Crenwelge, Crenwelge Motors, Kerrville, Texas; and Michael Molstead, Mike Molstead Motors, Charles City, Iowa.

Dawkins was owner of Co’s BMW/ Mini dealerships at the Motorplex at Centerra, Loveland, until recently selling the businesses to John Elway Automotive.

“During my automotive career, I am most proud of being a positive influence on my staff and helping so many grow in the car business,” Dawkins said. “I am especially proud of giving women an opportunity to be in this industry, where they have excelled in many positions at our dealership, from technicians to my management team.”

The Time dealer award is one of the automobile industry’s most prestigious and highly coveted honors. Recipients are among the nation’s most successful auto dealers who also demonstrate a long-standing commitment to community service.

Dawkins, 55, was chosen to represent the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association in the national competition.
