Looking Ahead

-

Padres RHP Dinelson Lamet (0-0, 0.00 ERA) at Rockies RHP Antonio Senzatela (1-3, 5.67) 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, Coors Field TV: AT&T SportsNet

Radio: KOA 850 AM/94.1 FM

Senzatela missed his last scheduled start because of a stint on the injured list with a groin strain, but is healthy now and will try to get back on track. The Rockies are 1-5 in his six starts and he has a 1.551 WHIP. Senzatela wasn’t sharp in his last outing, yielding three runs on nine hits in 4 2/3 innings at Arizona. He is 7-2 with a 3.08 ERA in 15 career games (nine starts) against San Diego. Lamet also recently returned from an injury after spending a couple weeks on the injured list due to right forearm tightness. But he’s looked good while easing back into a starting role, including two scoreless innings against the Pirates last week. He will be on a pitch count and left-hander Ryan Weathers might piggyback on top of another short start by Lamet.

Trending: A lack of walks offensively continues to be an issue entering the homestand. Colorado’s drawn one or zero walks in eight games this year, and is second-worst in the NL with a 7.9% walk rate.

At issue: Cron’s trip to the injured list means an even greater burden on Ryan McMahon, Trevor Story and Raimel Tapia to shoulder the majority of the load offensively.
