Lambert is making his first big-league start since undergoing Tommy John surgery on July 21, 2020. He has not pitched since the 2019 season when he began his career, posting a 7.25 ERA in 19 starts. Lambert made seven appearance­s during his minor-league rehab assignment this season, posting a 3.94 ERA and 1.38 WHIP over 16 innings. Expect him to be limited to three or four innings of work. In two career starts against San Francisco, the right-hander has a 4.50 ERA, with eight strikeouts and three walks. Wood, out since Aug. 26 with COVID-19, pitched three scoreless innings in the Giants’ 2-0 win over the Braves last Friday. Wood retired nine of the 10 batters, allowing only Travis d’arnaud to reach on a hit-bypitch with two outs in the second inning. Wood struck out four before hitting his 37-pitch limit. In three starts vs. the Rockies this season, he’s 2-0 with a 3.06 ERA. In his one start at Coors Field, he gave up two runs on four hits (including a home run) across five innings. He struck out two and walked two.

At issue: The Rockies finished their series against the Dodgers with a 6-13 record, including a 3-7 record at Coors Field. Going back to 2018, the Dodgers are 48-20 against Colorado.
