The other epidemic of hatred

Re: “Gosar’s anime video of killing AOC is no joke,” Nov. 20 commentary

Your readers agree that U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar’s video message should not be condoned. Your guest columnist makes other valid points, but undermines her message by irrationally blaming the entire epidemic on “depraved right-wing fantasies.”

If we have any hope of curbing this epidemic of hatred, we also should not condone the hate espoused by the left, media, Hollywood, et al:

• “But there is a process. It has nothing to do with the certain occupant of the White House doesn’t feel like moving and has to be fumigated out of there because the presidency is the presidency. ” (Nancy Pelosi)

• “And sadly, the domestic enemies to our voting system and honoring our Constitution are right at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with their allies in the Congress of the United States.” (Nancy Pelosi)

• “I just don’t even know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country. And maybe there will be, when people realize that this is a policy that they defended.” (Nancy Pelosi)

• ‘We’re gonna go in there and we’re going to impeach the mother (expletive).” (Rep. Rashida Tlaib)

• “If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.” (Joe Biden)

• Holding a decapitated effigy of President Trump. (Kathy Griffin)

• “Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House. But I know that this won’t change anything. We cannot fall into despair.” (Madonna)

• “He talks about how he wants to punch people in the face. Well, I’d like to punch him in the face.” (Robert Deniro)

• “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” (Johnny Depp)
