MEN No. 2 Alabama rallies from 17 down to top rival Auburn in OT

TUSCALOOSA, ALA. >> Jahvon Quinerly scored 24 points, Brandon Miller made the clinching free throws with six seconds left and No. 2 Alabama rallied from a 17-point deficit before beating archrival Auburn 90-85 in overtime Wednesday night.

The Crimson Tide clinched outright their second regular-season SEC title in three years but continued to live on the edge over a troubling eight days that included courtroom revelation­s that tied Miller and Jaden Bradley to the scene of a murder.

COLUMBUS, OHIO>> Felix Okpara had 12 points and 12 rebounds to help Ohio State finish its home schedule with a win over Maryland. Justice Sueing had 16 points to lead six Buckeyes in double figures. Ohio State jumped ahead early with a 12- 0 run and didn’t give up the lead the rest of the way.

Vanderbilt 68, No. 23 Kentucky 66

LEXINGTON, KY.>> Jordan Wright hit a goahead fall-away jumper in the lane with 2.6 seconds remaining to finish with 23 points, and Vanderbilt topped Kentucky for its first win at Rupp Arena since January 2007.

SOUTH BEND, IND. >> Marcus Hammond and Cormac Ryan each scored 20 points as Notre Dame beat Pittsburgh to win longtime coach Mike Brey’s final home game.

WOMEN UCLA edges Arizona St. in OT in Pac-12 tourney opener

LAS VEGAS >> Emily Bessoir scored 17 points, including two critical 3-pointers in overtime, as fifth-seeded UCLA, which had a 19-point lead midway through the third quarter, turned back 12th-seeded Arizona State 81-70 on Wednesday in a Pac-12 Tournament first-round game.
