Tim Mcgraw, Eric Church and more top Cheyenne Frontier Days
Organizers of the Cheyenne Frontier Days in Wyoming have released the musical lineup for its 2023 event, including some return acts as well as firsttimers to the Daddy of ‘Em All
ountry superstar Eric Church will be gracing the stage once again at 8 p.m. Friday, July 21 after last performing at the event in 2021.
During his rise to the top of country music charts, Church has garnered quite a few accolades along the way, including seven Academy of Country Music Awards, four Country Music Association Awards and 10 Grammy Award nominations, as well as 30 Gold, Platinum and multi-platinum certified singles.
With hits like “Springsteen,” “Guys Like Me,” “Round Here Buzz” and more, Church will bring an exciting show that music fans of all genres will not want to miss.
Singer- songwriter Paul Cauthen from Tyler, Texas, will be the opening act for Church.
The acts keep coming at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 22 with Old Dominion. Hailing from Nashville, the band has become one of country music’s top post-modern bands, combining engaging lyrics with expert musicianship.
Since 2014, Old Dominion has achieved eight No. 1 singles, more than 1 billion on- demand streams and several Platinum and Gold single certifications.
Get ready to sing along with the band because their hooks are contagious.
Chase Rice, who performed at the Greeley Stampede in 2017, will open for Old Dominion.
Up-and-comer and Navy veteran Zach Bryan is scheduled to perform at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 23.
Since his debut in 2019, Bryan has made a name for himself with his raspy voice belting out heartfelt and deep lyrics with a mix of classic folk and outlaw country melodies. His stripped- down, raw style adds a completely different flair to CFD’S musical lineup.
Break up the mid-week blues with some rock from Five Finger Death Punch with Papa Roach at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 26 in the arena.
Since the band’s initial album, “The Way of the Fist,” released in 2007, Five Finger Death Punch has produced eight more albums. Seven of the albums were certified Gold or Platinum. In 2016, the Association of the United States Army honored the band with the Soldier Appreciation Award. The only other artist to receive this prestigious award was Elvis Presley.
Punk and rap-inspired Papa Roach roared onto the music scene in 2001 with their release of their single, “Last Resort.” The Grammy-nominated group has sold more than 20 million albums and have returned with their 11th studio album, “Ego Trip.”
Fans of “1883,” the prequel of the hit “Yellowstone” will get to see the main character, James Dutton, in real life as country superstar Tim Mcgraw graces the stage at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 27. The Grammy Award-winning musician, author and talented actor is considered one of the most successful touring acts in the history of country music. His biggest hit to date, “Humble and Kind,” continues to inspire music fans from across all genres with its true and honest lyrics.
Kip Moore will join McGraw as the opening act of the night. The self- described “lone wolf” will present songs from his fourth studio album, “Wild World” as well as fan favorites like “Hey Pretty Girl,” “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck” and more.
If you missed Jon Pardi at the 100th Greeley Stampede in 2022, you have another chance to see him as he heads to our neck of the woods at 8 p.m. Friday, July 28.
The singer- songwriter, and new dad to baby girl Presley Fawn Pardi, will play songs from his latest album, “Mr. Saturday Night.”
The album delves into topics such as love, breakups, partying and more through Western swing, breezy mid-tempos, ballads and, of course, electrifying barn burners.
Pardi will be joined by Carly Pearce, a singer-songwriter from Kentucky.
Wrapping up CFD’S 2023 concert series is former bull rider, now country music star Cody Johnson.
Johnson has also appeared at the Greeley Stampede, bringing his high- energy show to fans in northern Colorado in 2019.
Since then, Johnson has risen up the charts with hits like “Dear Rodeo,” in which he partnered with country superstar Reba Mcentire for, “On My Way to You,” “Human” and “Til You Can’t.” Much like Chris Ledoux, Johnson embraces his love of Western culture and lifestyle in his music.
His fans have taken on the moniker “Cojo Nation,” causing Johnson’s shows across the U.S. to regularly sell out.
Whiskey Myers, a southern rock/country group from Palestine, Texas, will open for Johnson.
