Jeanne Rhinesmith was born in Fullerton, Ca. on December 13, 1962, to Edwin (Ted) and Mary Jean Whiting, the youngest of six children. Jeanne grew up in Fullerton, attending St. Mary’s Elementary School and Rosary High School. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University, one of the first women there to attain a degree in computer science. She met Bob Rhinesmith while they were both working at IBM and they married in 1990. Jeanne and Bob were world travelers exploring the United States and visiting many countries in Europe. She had diverse interests: she achieved a 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, was active in her women’s golf league and was commissioner of her Fantasy Football League. She was a life-long baseball fan, rooting for the LA Dodgers in her younger years, then the Colorado Rockies when she settled in Arvada, Co. Later, she and Bob also lived in Tucson, Az. Among her fondest moments were persuading Tommy Lasorda to visit her elementary school and attending Spring Training in Arizona with her three sisters. She enjoyed a good game of Rummikub and a glass of wine. Jeanne is survived by her husband, Bob, her daughter, Violet, her stepsons Jason and Andy, her siblings, Kathy (Terry), Brad (Laura), Patty (Mike), Terese (Dave) and Spencer (Joslyn) and granddaughters, Alex and Max. Jeanne was a devout Catholic. Her family misses her deeply and looks forward to reuniting with her in heaven. Jesus, we trust in you! Services will be held in Tucson, Arizona on June 12 @1030 East Lawn Palms cemetery and Mass @ 0900 Holy Trinity church.
