MEN Miami runs wild, tops No. 16 Clemson

CORAL GABLES, FLA.>> Nijel Pack scored 20 of his 25 points in the second half, Matthew Cleveland and Norchad Omier each added 23 and Miami beat No. 16 Clemson 95-82 on Wednesday night to improve to 9- 0 at home this season.

Kyshawn George and Bensley Joseph each added 12 for the Hurricanes (11-2, 2- 0 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Joseph Girard III scored 18 points for Clemson (11-2, 1-1).

SETON HALL 61, NO. 23 PROVIDENCE 57>>

Dre Davis scored 17 points and Kadary Richmond added 16 points as Seton Hall defeated No. 23 Providence 61-57.

Josh Oduro led Providence (11- 3, 2-1) with a game-high 23 points.

No. 6 Baylor beats No. 23 TCU in battle of unbeatens

Bella Fontleroy scored 16 of her 21 points in a big secondhalf comeback for Baylor, which beat TCU 7150 in a matchup of undefeated Big 12 teams in the Bears’ first game at their new arena.

Sarah Andrews finished with 16 points — 13 after halftime — for Baylor (13- 0, 2- 0 Big 12), while Yaya Felder scored 13. Dre’una Edwards had 10 rebounds.

Sedona Prince had 20 points and 10 rebounds for TCU (14-1, 1-1)

Aaliyah Moore and Deyona Gaston both had their first doubledoub­les of the season and No. 10 Texas (14-1, 1-1 Big 12 Conference) got off to a quick start and rolled past Texas Tech.

Bailey Maupin scored 16 for the Red Raiders (123, 1-1), who came in averaging 73.6 points a game.

NO. 11 KANSAS STATE 72, HOUSTON 38>>

Ayoka Lee had 27 points with 11 rebounds and Kansas State held Houston to 14 second-half points.

Kansas State (14-1, 2- 0 Big 12) led 29-24 at halftime then used runs of 20- 0 in the third quarter and 14- 0 in the fourth to blow it open.

Laila Blair led Houston (9- 4, 0-2) with 17 points.

NO. 12 UCONN 94, NO. 21 CREIGHTON 50>>

Led by red-hot Paige Bueckers’ 24 points, Uconn (11- 3, 3- 0 Big East) crushed its second straight ranked conference opponent and its fourth Top 25 team, rolling over Creighton.

Bueckers finished 8- of12 shooting, including 4 of 5 3-pointers and made all four of her free throws. She also had seven assists, five rebounds and four steals with just one turnover.

Aaliyah Edwards had 16 points and 11 rebounds for her sixth double- double in seven games.

Emma Ronsiek had 13 points for the Bluejays (10-3, 1-2).

ST. JOHN’S 57, NO. 19 MARQUETTE 56>>

Unique Drake scored 24 points, including the final nine for St. John’s, in the Red Storm’s 57-56 win over Marquette.

Frannie Hottinger led Marquette (12-2, 1-2) with 15 points. The Golden Eagles turned it over 23 times.

NO. 24 WEST VIRGINIA 68, CINCINNATI 53>>

Kyah Watson scored 14 points, Jordan Harrison added 13 and West Virginia (13- 0, 2- 0 Big 12) is off to the second-best start in program history, matching the 2017-18 team

Jillian Hayes had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Cincinnati (8-5, 0-1).
