Missouri governor shortens Britt Reid’s DWI sentence
JEFFERSON CITY, MO. >> Missouri Gov. Mike Parson on Friday shortened the prison sentence of former Kansas City Chiefs assistant coach Britt Reid for a drunken driving crash that seriously injured a 5-year-old girl.
Parson’s commutation converted the remainder of Reid’s three-year prison sentence to house arrest, subject to several conditions. Reid had been sentenced in November 2022 after pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury. He is the son of Chiefs Coach Andy Reid.

ASPEN>> Marco Odermatt stretched his World Cup giant slalom winning streak to 11 races and added that discipline’s season title to the overall title he clinched last weekend.
Odermatt won the last three GS events last season and is now 8-0 this season, opening up a 470-point lead with three races remaining, so he can’t be caught.

Prosecutor seeks to dismiss charges against 4 athletes
The prosecutor handling the sports wagering case against four former or suspended Iowa State athletes has asked a judge to dismiss all charges.
In a motion filed Friday in Story County District Court, assistant county attorney Benjamin Matchan wrote that the Division of Criminal Investigation exceeded the scope of permitted use of tracking software that detected open mobile betting apps in ISU athletic facilities.

Anthony Kim has rusty welcome back to golf
KING ABDULLAH ECONOMIC CITY, SAUDI ARABIA>> Anthony Kim hit his first competitive shot in 4,320 days and then hit more shots than he wanted at LIV Golf Jeddah. He opened with a 6-over 76 and was in last place, trailing Masters champion Jon Rahm and Adrian Meronk by 14 shots.
Kim walked away from the PGA Tour after the first round of the Wells Fargo Championship on May 3, 2012.
Boutier takes lead at LPGA tournament in Singapore
SINGAPORE >> Six-time LPGA Tour winner Celine Boutier had a bogey-free round of 8-under 64 on to take a one-stroke lead after the second round of the HSBC Women’s World Championship.
The 30-year-old French player had a 36-hole total of 7-under 137 on the Sentosa Golf Club course.
