All Elite Wrestling coming to Acrisure Arena on May 30

- Brian Blueskye

Good news, wrestling fans. Acrisure Arena is about to become “All Elite.” All Elite Wrestling will make its debut in the Coachella Valley on May 30 for a taping of its weekly TV program “AEW: Collision”

Tickets are on sale now at at AEWTIX.com, acrisurearena.com and ticketmaster.com.

AEW debuted in 2019 and was founded by Tony Khan, son of Fulham F.C. and Jacksonville Jaguars owner and businessman, Shahid Khan. Its inaugural event featured current World Wrestling Entertainment Universal Champion Cody Rhodes, who left the company to return to WWE in 2022. The company’s roster currently includes former WWE stars Chris Jericho, Adam “Edge Copeland,” Jon Moxley, Christian Cage and more.

In March, AEW’s pay-per-view event Revolution was headlined by wrestling legend Sting’s final match with his tag-team partner Darby Allin vs. the Young Bucks. The 64-year-old crashed through pressed wood and panes of glass. Allin flew off a ladder from the ring onto a pane of glass, sending shards into the audience seated near the ring. Wrestler CM Punk returned to WWE last November after leaving the company a decade prior, nearly three months after Punk was fired by AEW with cause after Punk was involved in a backstage altercation following the “All In” pay-per-view in

London with wrestler Jack Perry, son of the late actor and “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Luke Perry.

During an April interview on “MMA Hour With Ariel Helwani,” CM Punk explained the incident, described Khan as “not a boss” and said the company is “not a real business.” AEW aired the footage of the scuffle on April 10 during “AEW Dynamite,” which confirmed many details CM Punk had already addressed.

An official card for the event has not been announced, but AEW’s roster also includes wrestlers Samoa Joe, Will Ospreay, Mercedes Mone, Sammy Guevara and many more.
