County seeks discounted dentists

The Dundalk Eagle - - EDITORIAL -

The Baltimore County Department of Health and the county Dental Association are seeking dental providers interested in offering discounted dental ser vices to a limited number of uninsured Baltimore County residents.

The Baltimore County Dental Access Program connects uninsured Baltimore County residents with dentists who agree to accept a discount of their normal and customary fee for a certain number of clients.

The BCDH screens residents for financial need, and discounts are determined based on the household income.

BCDH receives approximately 3,000 phone calls per year from residents who cannot afford routine dental care and are in pain. Many of these residents turn to the Dental Access Program for an affordable means to get relief from their discomfort.

If you might be interested, or know someone who might be willing to provide care, please call Cindy Kaiser at 410-887-2780.
