Dec. 12, 1926 — Oct. 20,

2018 Longtime Dundalk resident, Lucy (Lou) A. Grumbach peacefully passed away Saturday, Oct. 20. Lou left her beloved Dundalk home 18 months ago to join the Somerford Place memory-care community in Frederick to be closer to her daughter, Janet Fox, and her family. She is also survived by her son, James Grumbach, Jr, who lives with his family in Maine.

Born in San Piero Patti, Sicily, Lou moved to Dundalk at age 3 in 1929 with her parents, Salvatore (Sam) and Tindara Loiacono, and two older brothers, Carmel and Jack. A third brother, Joseph, was born in Dundalk.

In 1946, she married her husband, the late James Grumbach, a long-serving member of the Maryland Air National Guard.
