He was em­ployed by Beth­le­hem Steel as a me­chan­i­cal drafts­man for more than 30 years, he re­tired in 1983. Jim was a mem­ber of the Pat­ap­sco Ma­sonic Lodge 183 in Dun­dalk for 53 years and served as Wor­ship­ful Mas­ter in 1978.

Vis­i­ta­tion with fam­ily will be at the CON­NELLY FU­NERAL HOME OF DUN­DALK, 7110 Sollers Point Road on Fri­day, Nov. 30, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Ma­sonic ser­vice with a time for shar­ing will be held at 8 p.m. on Fri­day evening at the fu­neral home.

In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily asks for do­na­tions in James R. Bas­kettes’ name to be made to the Na­tional Fed­er­a­tion of the Blind @ NFB.org.
