Thoughts on traffic changes at Merritt Boulevard

The Dundalk Eagle - - BY THE PEOPLE - Roy Plummer Dundalk

Hats off to the traffic folks that finally closed the “devils triangle” at Westfield and Merritt Boulevard.

While the way-too-frequent crashes had become the norm lately at that intersection, I myself have almost became victim to someone zooming across there.

And while we are on the subject, the no cellphone use while driving law is not a myth, as is no turn on red while a crossing guard is present, No left turn into Merritt Park from Holabird and that really is a yield sign at Merritt and Holabird and that really is a stop sign from Wise Ave into Merritt Boulevard. And yea you really have to stop for school buses when their STOP sign is out.

Dundalk is really a great town, spent my whole life here. Remember the bumper sticker — Work, Shop Play Dundalk ? Lets add drive safely to that. Wear your seatbelt, use a car seat, watch out for bikes. Say please and thank you — let’s be kinder to each other on and off the road.
