The Rock Church

- By STUART HANOLD, Contributing Writer

The Rock Church is launching Sunday May 5th at 10:30 in the Morning Star Restaurant. 1st Samuel 2:2 “there is no Rock like our God.” It will be real and authentic. It will not be like anything else in this valley. The Rock Church will pursue God’s presence, power and His person like no other.

Do you need a change in your life? Have you been hurt in church or by church goers? Tired of old-time religion? Think church is irrelevant? Then try the Rock Church. What have you got to lose? ALL are welcome. It will have an intentional focus on appealing to young adults while providing a safe, high energy, cutting-edge gathering without judgement or condemnation. Come see! The Lord has used us successfully in this capacity before. We previously planted a church here in Angel Fire in the 90’s that produced much fruit for the Kingdom of God while exploding in growth.

There are some fine churches here. Pastor Brian at the AF Baptist church is probably the best Bible teacher here. Pastor Murrell in E.N. has the best worship. The Church of Christ in E.N. has a great midweek after school program for school age kids, and the other churches are doing what they feel the Lord is calling them to do.

However, after talking with a wide variety of individuals, there is an undeniable need for a Spirit filled gathering where the Holy Spirit has Biblical freedom and is championed and embraced. We will be meeting once a month. (at least initially). It will not be your typical church service but unique and fresh, appealing to Gen Y and Z but all are welcome. God rewards the risk takers!!!

Now some Faith VS Culture facts to ponder:

UN secretarygeneral youth climate adviser calls for Whites to be stripped of power in ‘revolutionary fights’

‘Racial harmony is a fallacy,’ said United Nations climate adviser Ayisha Siddiqa. My question. What does that have to do with the climate?

The US Border patrol caught a Hamas terrorist crossing the border into the US. How many others have not been caught?

A former primary school teacher in the U.K. is defending herself in court after she was fired for refusing to treat an eight-year-old girl as a boy.

The teacher, who’s just being called “Hannah” to protect the identity of “Child X”, said she had serious concerns when “Child X” began to socially transition and was allowed to use bathrooms and changing rooms of the opposite sex. “There was no consideration or indication that this approach might cause any harm. It seemed the message was that it was better for the child’s mental and emotional health to go along with it,” she continued. I would ask, but what about the children in the bathrooms mental and emotional health. This is TOO MUCH!!!

Here is one of the most obvious reasons for our current homeless problem that is not talked about. There used to be over 5000 Mental Health facilities in the US now there are just over 1000. Many, if not most, of the homeless populations are made up of mentally ill people.

A new Pennsylvania school board president was sworn into her position with her hand on a stack of controversial books, one of which included sexually explicit content.

Karen Smith was sworn in as the new Central Bucks school board president after a vote by the board. As Smith walked up to the podium to be sworn in, her husband followed her with a stack of questionable, irrelevant books. That’s openly mocking the serious traditional swearing in ceremony. What a farce.

The IRS is coming after us. All small businesses are required to hire a lawyer and file a “Transparency” report. This is a new law initiated by the current administration. If you don’t comply you will have to pay a fine of several thousand dollars and be charged a $500 a day penalty. The laughable reasoning for it is that there is a suspicion that there are numerous small businesses laundering money. Small businesses, like ours, that are struggling to survive because of the price of supplies, etc. But I must confess that we do launder money. Recently we found $10 in the dryer that somehow escaped IRS detection.

Check this out. The worst part is that if you have over 20 employees and a $5 million-dollar annual budget, YOU ARE EXEMPT from filing and potential prosecution. Our government proclaims that they are champions of the middle class and small businesses, but I don’t see it. I’ve learned the hard way over the years that you watch what people do, not what they say. Both parties are to blame. This is a Democrat fueled, heavy handed governmental requirement, but the Republicans just rolled over and did nothing to stop this insanity.

The $20 minimum wage in California is crippling small businesses. Now some brainless twits in D.C. are calling for a $50 minimum wage while hard working Americans are paying the debts of others and for the housing and care of people entering this country illegally. Is this what America, the land of the free and the home of the brave has become?

If we don’t stand up for our rights, they may continue to be taken from us one by one. Until next month!
