Ready for Work pro­gram re­ceives $300K

Red­skins Char­i­ta­ble Foun­da­tion do­nates money to help stu­dents

In an ef­fort to sup­port Prince Ge­orge’s County high school stu­dents and help them grad­u­ate ca­reer- and col­lege-ready, the Wash­ing­ton Red­skins Char­i­ta­ble Foun­da­tion an­nounced a $300,000 do­na­tion for Ven­ture Phi­lan­thropy Part­ners’ Ready for Work pro­gram dur­ing a spe­cial cer­e­mony held Sept. 15 at Oxon Hill High School in Oxon Hill.

A se­lect group of stu­dents and staff gath­ered in­side the school’s au­di­to­rium as they wit­nessed Ven­ture Phi­lan­thropy Part­ners Pres­i­dent and CEO Carol Thomp­son Cole, Prince Ge­orge’s County Chief Ad­min­is­tra­tive Of­fi­cer Nicholas Ma­jett, pub­lic schools CEO Kevin Maxwell and Red­skins owner Dan Sny­der speak about work­ing to­gether to help more youth reach their full po­ten­tial through the pro­gram.
