Relaxing time

James Perry said he just wanted to have a little vacation and get some relaxing time. Yes, he said he needed some baby-free time, a few hours away from his children and, of course, grandchildren. The weather has been so funny in the area with the rain, winds and cold temperatures. And it is not winter yet. So, Jimmy decided to take a trip down to North Carolina. He invited his mother, Evelyn Perry, to go with him. He also called his aunt, Priscilla Jones, and said, “pack your suitcase and go with me and your sister, Evelyn, for a few days” visiting Leonard Cross, my uncle and Evelyn’s brother, who lives in Wendell, N.C. Leonard took us to the Farmers Market in Raleigh, N.C.,where we enjoyed some very good food. We also visited several shopping centers where we enjoyed shopping especially for items that we had not seen in our home- town, Prince George’s County. Leonard, who attends Young Missionary Church, said he has really enjoyed his 30 years living in North Carolina. He baked his favorite cake, Better Than Anything, which we all enjoyed as we watched movies on the TV screen. Jimmy said that driving on this trip was excellent. Traffic moved along good and the weather was great. And, most of all, gas was cheaper as we travelled south. All three of us enjoyed this trip and look forward to going down the highway again.
