Bridge drain cleanup planned for Sunday
The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration will conduct routine maintenance on the Gov. Thomas Johnson Memorial Bridge over the Patuxent River from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Sunday, May 20, as crews will be clearing bridge drains.
Drivers will be guided through the work zone using a flagging operation. Motorists should plan extra travel time Sunday morning, and to stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers.
