An Anne Arundel County man, identified by a prosecutor and police reports as a former student at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, has been charged with multiple offenses of preparing obscene website videos, with titles about men defecating.

Timothy Alexander Bingley, a 20-year-old West River resident, waived his right to an arraignment hearing this week, online court records state, on the charges filed last month by the St. Mary’s State’s Attorney’s Office. Each visual surveillance offense and preparation of a website video, with titles such as “Cute Guy Takes a Gassy Poop” and “Understall Spy 2,” occurred at the college, the charging papers state, between December 2017 and May of last year.

An employee at the law firm of the attorney representing Bingley said Wednesday that no comment could be made about the matter. A woman answering a phone call late that afternoon to Bingley’s family residence said Bingley would not be discussing the case.

Bingley faces a hearing and trial in March on a 17-count bill of information that focuses on seven titled videos. An investigation initiated last spring by the college’s public safety office, however, led to the discovery and review of 90 posted videos, according to St. Mary’s sheriff’s office reports, stating they included “videos the suspect took of himself defecating with a close-up camera … [and] videos the suspect took of others as the[y] defecated in bathroom stalls. There are a

total of 56 videos of other people defecating.”

Comments posted on the website made it “clear that the videos are intended for sexual gratification,” a sheriff’s office report states, and the investigation determined that most of the videos were made in bathrooms in the Prince George’s dormitory and near the college’s cafeteria center, and one video made in the school’s library bathroom.

During police questioning, the sheriff’s office report states, the suspect, who was a first-year student at the college, “stated he would wait in the bathroom stalls for hours until someone would come in to defecate in a stall next to him so he could film it.”
