Briarwood Village announces new leadership
COLDWATER — Briarwood Village recently announced the promotion of Kristen Wynk, director of independent and assisted living, to executive director of the Briarwood Village campus, as well as the addition of Leah Hays, as the new administrator of Briarwood Village.
Wynk will continue to lead day-to-day operations in the independent and assisted living departments, and will now have additional responsibilities of overseeing the entire Briarwood campus. Meanwhile, Hays will now be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the skilled nursing side of the Briarwood Village campus.
Wynk has spent the duration of her career working at Briarwood Village. She began with Briarwood Village in March 2011, as a dietary aide. She also worked as an STNA and completed the Administrator-in-Training program at Briarwood in July 2016. Wynk has her Certified Executive Assisted Living (CEAL) certification, as well as her Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license. She graduated from the Ohio State University and currently resides with her husband, Trevor, and their two daughters, Hallie and Nora, in Chickasaw.
Hays is new to the HCF Family, but not to long-term care or the area. She joins HCF after spending the last 12 years as the marketing director at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford. She completed her AIT and is now a LHNA (Licensed Nursing Home Administrator). Hays graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in strategic communications. She resides in Rockford with her husband, Matt, and their three sons.
“My goal at Briarwood is to serve our community of guests by providing care, comfort and compassion,” said Hays, adding that she is excited for her new role and strives to continue to serve the community with the same great quality of care.
