Wright State holding 5K virtually to honor vets

Red, White and Run race will honor vets, families

DAYTON — Fisher/Nightingal­e Houses, which support military veterans and their families, will benefit from the proceeds of the virtual Red, White and Run 5K hosted by Wright State University’s Air Force ROTC Detachment 643.

Online participan­ts will have from April 3 to April 10 to complete the annual race, and they can do it wherever they desire — in their neighborho­od, on a beach or even on a treadmill.

Organizers anticipate about 200 participan­ts. The goal is to raise $5,000 for three Dayton-area Fisher/Nightingal­e Houses.
