Schoffner, and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2020.

Ruth is survived by her children: Jody (Leo) Zisman of Woodland Hills, California, Russell (Becky) Schoffner of Wapakoneta; Melinda (Randall) Clark of New Bremen, Randy (Darla) Schoffner of Lima and Elaina Schoffner of Bluffton. Ruth was a 1952 graduate of Blume High School, Wapakoneta. She was a proud military wife, raising five children and traveling with her husband, Gene, a dedicated member of the U.S. Air Force, to Wright-Paterson AFB, Elmendorf AFB in Alaska, and Sheppard AFB in Texas. Ruth was kind. She had a sweet, loving spirit and she never said anything negative about anyone. She looked for the good, the positive in everyone and she was generous in spirit and in love, forgiving and thoughtful.

Ruth was an avid book reader, a perennial scholar and a devout Christian. She liked her garden, her puzzles, her animals, to listen to music, and to play the piano. She loved Christmas. But above all, she loved her precious family, her children, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and was so very proud of all of their achievements.
